Reiki is a Japanese technique using gentle hands-on ("laying on hands") healing method. The word comes from two Japanese words, Rei and Ki, meaning Universal Life Force. Reiki is the channeling of Universal Energy (Life Force) for the purposes of healing.  Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki can be used alone or as a complementary therapy with traditional western and veterinary medicine.

Reiki works on all levels, for people and animals:

  • physical
  • mental
  • emotional
  • spiritual

All animals recognize and appreciate Reiki's ability to heal. Many learn to seek it out on their own. Reiki will not cause stress or pain, but provides effective results. It heals at all levels and can be used for any issue an animal may have. Many times animals will respond more quickly to Reiki than people do, and positive results are usually seen quickly.

For your healthy pet, Reiki treatments help maintain a healthy state, but enhances overall well-being.

For your sick pet, Reiki helps heal at the deepest levels and is a safe complement to Western medicine. Reiki helps reduce side effects of other treatments as well.

Reiki can also be used as as a form of hospice.  Reiki will provide comfort, ease pain, reduce fear and anxiety, and help your pet transition peacefully. It will also help the owner find peace and healing during this difficult time.
